Pros

Salary potential. Small, quiet office. Simple and clean, professional work environment. Phenomenal training and resources instantly available at all times.

Cons

Hidden costs. HARD work and hours for the first few years. Variable income. Poor benefits.

Advice to Management

Be as up front as possible regarding what the experience is like and what the expectations are down the road. It IS all about numbers--not the clients--for the first few years. Show the balance sheet for an office. Explain what is provided and what is not.

    Pros

Key Words: Stable, Love the People, Does the Right Thing for Our Clients, Treated Fairly, Good Benefits

During the market crash in 2008 / 2009, management took the right steps to drive down non-compensation costs, which allowed everyone to keep their job and maintain profitability as a firm. I'm proud of how we handled the situation we were faced with.

    Cons

Limited HQ Growth Opportunities, More Work To Do Than Resources To Do It, Often Unrealistic Expectations

I often find myself frustrated by the amount of work we are expected to get done and the fact that no matter how much we can accomplish, it never seems like it's good enough.

    Advice to Management

Need to focus on creating opportunities for home office associates, prioritizing division level initiatives, and investing in home office systems.

    Pros

    Excellent Training Program
    Unlimited Income Earning Potential
    Licensing/Continuing Education Paid For
    Profit Sharing Plan
    Home Office Support
    No Onsite Boss

    Cons

Not a Lot of Field Support
    High/Inequitable Sales Goals
Worked a Lot of Nights/Weekends(Especially If You Inherit Little Assets)
High Family Insurance Premiums and Deductible
Lot of Out-Of-Pocket Expenses(If You Want To Stay In Business)
    Behind On Online Advertising
Prospecting Isn't Working Like It Might Have Used To
They Tell You They Supplement Your Income Until You Build Your Business- truth is, you need to be exceeding expectations to get the milestone bonuses(and if you have high sales goals, you're going to work your butt off to meet that)
People Are Adverse To Investing Right Now-Lot Of Rejection
    It's ALL About The Numbers

    Advice to Management

Hire Some Field Support People Who's Only Job Is To Support The FA's-The Regional Leaders Can't Run A Business While Trying To Support The FA's
    Be Fair With Performance Expectations
