Good but not Great

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Bellevue, WA
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Bellevue, WA

I worked at Efinancial full-time (more than an year)

Pros

I gained some wicked experience and a great foundation of knowledge that has helped me to be very successful in my new role. The company also has a strong desire to grow and become even more successful.

Cons

Efinancial is built on a call center / direct marketing business model. I have come to learn that model is very common in the insurance and financial industry. While there is nothing wrong with that methodology, I personally prefer permission based marketing methods. So in some ways I have had to mature and come to that realization, which has left me with a much more positive outlook on the company in reflection.

    Pros

Not too much micro managing. No prospecting.

    Cons

Bad leads, inconsistent income, ridiculous filter of internet on computers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better leads and quit giving employees the run around

Great place to start, but benefits are lacking

I have been working at Efinancial

    Pros

Great place to start to get your career going

    Cons

Ceiling is low, not much room to move up the career ladder.

    Initial PTO is pitifully small:
    first year -- 7 days
    second year -- 12 days

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is quick to take off hours when going to doctor, even though you may return later that day and work off the missed hours; with the pitifully small hours of PTO that are easily deducted, this leads to not enough hours to take any vacation.
