    Pros

    Electrolux is a leader in producing and selling household appliances. There are opportunities to grow professionally and make international career. All company vacancies are first published on the intranet website. You can apply and try to capture it. Often it happens. The internal culture and work athmosphere are positive. People treat each other with respect.

    Cons

    As many of industry leaders the company can allow itself to pay below market. Decisions sometimes are taken in a very long time.

    Advice to Management

    Use less buzzwords in letters to employees, concentrate more on achievements of certain people and teams. Create more unity within the company.

    Pros

    It maybe a good place for a graduate to start where requirements are little more than very hard work. It certainly provides a view from a relatively safe position into a world of total disorganization and chaos. How not to run a company.

    Cons

    No organization. No workable process. Information and work direction comes by trickle down. No effective communication paths vertically or horizontally. Many senior and middle management positions held by individuals with no effective skills but using the opaqueness and chaos that exists to hide their own inadequacies. An organization therefore totally against change and process improvement.

    Advice to Management

    A fundamental change in management culture is required starting at the top of the organization in the USA. A clear leadership call for the institution of workable processes focused on continuous improvement and transparency. A rigorous cleaning-out of all incompetent and closed minded middle management. This company will fail at the hands of more progressive and healthy North American and Asian companies who have already embraced 21st century management philosophies.
