I worked at Electronic Arts full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    - EA has excellent benefit packages and the salaries can be competitive, depending on the studio location.
    - Good educational opportunities
    - They have a huge library of IPs and technology

    Cons

    - They have a habit of absorbing smaller studios, which have a history of crumbling after a couple of years.
    - They need to better monitor management of individual studios.
    - They are not innovating as much as they used to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should survey the employees at various studios on a more frequent basis. You will likely find early signs of a studio veering off track long before it actually does.

I worked at Electronic Arts full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You were expected to have fun during work and lots of opportunities to do that. You could easily interact with many people in different organizations and network. Highly motivated workforce.

    Cons

Depending on you job advancement was limited. The IT support model was not the best and it took a long time to get projects approved, funded and completed. Expected work/life balance was not the most balanced at times. Took advantage of the hiring a lot of contractors so a lot of new faces constantly.
