I worked at Electronic Arts full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

They know how to ship high quality games. The company is entirely focused on shipping highly polished games on time and mostly on budget. They have a huge war chest so if they are interested in a project they will fund it.

    Cons

Not great place for innovation. Pick other companies if you want to work on anything that looks like an indy game. The company is profit driven and they will cancel projects if they believe they are going to take a soaking on it.
