    Pros

Other employers regard EA as a top tier company.
You get to say you work at "EA".

    Cons

Poor leadership - A few excellent leaders in EA. But more prevalent are some unqualified individual contributors are bubbled up as managers and aren't qualified to manage people.
Poor recruiting practices - Job descriptions are works of fiction.
Work-life balance - Depending upon the team, work life balance can be an issue. Be prepared to work long hours and weekends.

I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Many individual studios in the mobile/social freemium space are great places to work. Colleagues generally are amazing. Mobility within the company seems high, and there are studios and offices in many cities around the world.

    Cons

EA has much of the dysfunction of a big organization without many of the synergies. Due to many acquisitions, not much of common platforms are shared across teams, which leads to inefficiency, and there are many, many rounds of layoffs each year to cut costs, leaving employees feeling insecure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't have a round of staff reduction followed immediately by another round just because the CEO has changed.
