Awesome superiors and a lot of fun!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Electronic Arts as a contractor

ProsThe experience was an overall rewarding one. I learned so much about the art of PR- not necessarily the down and dirty media pitching and organization, but definitely the importance of great messaging and content.

ConsThe commute from the city was a piece of work. Also if you're not in love with video games, don't bother.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Ruthless meritocracy, reputation-based decision-making, strong talent

General Manager (Current Employee)
Redwood City, CA

I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time for more than a year

Pros: 1. High talent density 2. Performance based merit (mostly) 3. Reputation and credibility more powerful/influential than title 4. Mostly work/life balance 5. Superb… Cons: 1. Obsessively process driven 2. Nearly impossible to develop new IP that isn't mostly derivative 3. Yearly re-orgs: studio… Advice to Senior Management: Less re-orgs please Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Challenging but Fun Company to Work For

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Electronic Arts for more than a year

Pros: 1. The company makes video games, not chemical weapons, so at the end of the day, the core foundation of the work is about entrainment… Cons: 1. Insane corporate higher-achy that makes for high friction decision making. Getting a creative question answered could involve input from a manager, a director,… Advice to Senior Management: Right now your company is loosing some of it's absolute best employees because of the way many managers, vp's, svp's and higher all manage up.… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
