I have been working at Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow

    Pros

Generous paid time-off and paid holidays, state-funded insurance and retirement benefits, laid-back atmosphere, easygoing management, and very nice and fun co-workers. They have ice cream socials and provided lunches a few times a year.

    Cons

    - Volume of students leads to massive workloads. Management these days is incredibly stingy on hiring and many departments are desperately understaffed.

    - Nowhere to go if you're not in education; customer service and admin/clerical staff are pretty much stuck. You could get promoted to "tier II" or "lead" but those just mean you now have your boss' dirty work on top of your regular duties and get around $0.50 or less extra per hour.

    - Computers, databases, network systems, servers, and office equipment are outdated and break down constantly.

    - New management is inexperienced and cheaping out on everything.

    - Communication is terrible. You never know what's going on within the company or even who half the people working there are. This past February, everyone with big salaries was either fired or re-assigned. People were basically disappearing never to be spoken of again and a lot of people were afraid for their jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Underpaid employees with sub-par equipment do not make for a conducive or efficient business. The amount of system breakdowns and bad data is embarrassing.
