I worked at Electronic Data Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

My first big job that I ever had until I had a medical issue. Once I was through with the medical issue I was put on a project which completed successfully.

Cons

As soon as I was back with my group after the project I got laid off! I was training a minority and she kept her job. Along with another minority kept his job. My boss and I got laid off!

I worked at Electronic Data Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good salary schedule. Raises happened on a regular schedule.
Division meetings kept employees abreast of latest developments.
    Reviews were regular and helpful.

    Cons

Changes had to go through layers of bureaucracy.
Layoffs greatly increased workload of those remaining. The number and complexity of projects did not decrease with a smaller workforce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Balance the needs of employees and shareholders. Make sure that short term financial gains do not hold precedence over long term fiscal health.
