Dynamic Industry and fast changing industry. We have the benefit of transforming companies not just running their IT shops. As a result of the breadth and depth of EDS, we get to see many innovations implemented. Then we are able to share those experiences across industries adding value to each client.

Ability to experience a wide range of IT areas and a wide range of industries without leaving the company. There is always a challenge and opportunity for those who want to make a difference to capitalize on it.

Cons

Authority and control is held at very senior managment levels and within functions instead of at the business unit level. This diminishes accountibility, slows down the ability to get anything done and creates political factions / agendas that may or may not align well across the company. It is easiest to get great results when all parts of the organization are aligned, incented and motivated toward the same goals. Big companies often have this problem but it seems accentuated at this point in time at EDS. Some of this is driven by history and some is driven by strong opinioned leaders with short sighted vision
