    Pros

New employees are given meaningful projects, strong support as well as strong leaders. Eli Lilly is a company designed to support your success.

    Cons

The location can be a challenge for single people. Promotion of women and minorities has been slow.

    Advice to Management

Open up opportunities for advancement, for those who are not able to make multiple moves in their career.

  2. Solid fortune 200 company with growing sound marketing capabilities

I have been working at Eli Lilly full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent history of global marketing successes delivering blockbuster drugs. Strong focus on marketing development capabilities. Hiring bright young talent.

    Cons

Turnover at the top of the marketing organization and the emergence of a new cadre of marketing leaders has created a deficit of marketing experience at the top. Short term pipeline is weak especially in the face of key product patent expirations.

    Advice to Management

Make the hard decisions about the size and capabilities of the organization that you can afford to sustain over the next few years and then be frank with employess.
