I worked at Eli Lilly full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Smart people, Midwestern work ethic, good long-term pipeline

Cons

Short-term pipeline is weak, another big patent expiration is looming (Cymbalta) and the company tends to value consensus more than strategic leadership.

Approves of CEO

I was poorly trained and seen as an inferior contracted persona non grata.

I worked at Eli Lilly as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Good benefits and perks, generally a good culture, at least what is represented by upper management.

    Cons

Cliquey team mates and self serving manager who spoke from both sides of his mouth at once. Lots of busy work to justify a manager's existence or stroke ego, I can't say which.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Time to emerge from the dark ages and become more agile and responsive to customer needs. Trim the fat in middle management.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
