I worked at Eli Lilly

Pros

The people that work on the production floor remain committed in spite of management focus on creating a culture of fear.

Cons

Management requires an attitude that I can only describe as robotic.
People worry about doing or saying the "wrong" thing when this is very arbitrarily defined. This also contributes to a culture of fear as described above.
Questions made to management are often used against the questioner.
Believe me you don't ask too many questions which fosters an environment of staying in the woodwork for fear of being noticed or accused of doing something someone can twist into something it is not.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate your people and use leadership instead of fear.

I have been working at Eli Lilly

    Pros

Atmostphere is great. Great people to work with. Headquarters offers a healthy lifestyle and transportation to get around on campus.

    Cons

Had released around 4,500 employees. Not alot of diversity. Not alot of upward mobility-pending on who you know.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Needs more diversity. Has alot of contracted employees.

    I worked at Eli Lilly

    Pros

Respectful to employees. A little above average salary and good health benefits. Diverse work force. Some areas offer a decent amount of overtime. Very fair about working with you for time off for family and other emergencies.

    Cons

You just have to take whatever shift they tell you. they seem to switch people on different shifts frequently without much notice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many levels of management, middle management. A ton of indians and they all think they are chiefs. A lot of arrogance in management.
