Pros

The people you work for, the residents!

Cons

Corporate office needs to listen to staff and a lot of problems could have been prevented.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to staff, not just the ED!

    Pros

Pay is going rate for the area, the place is clean and very well taken care of. The residents are for the most part well cared for.

    Cons

The Administration is very snotty, there job is more important then yours attitude. Never enough nurses to cover shifts, they expect way to much of the nurses and really need a ward clerk to do the little stuff that keeps you from the care of patients. I do not reccommend this place if you don't handle chaos well. IT IS NON STOP!!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Chill out and respect your nurses, they are the ones covering your butts!!!!!!!!!

    Pros

The industry is growing, and will continue to do so with the retirement of baby boomers. This company is the largest assisted living provider in the United States, and continues to consume smaller companies. It will be around for a while.

    Cons

The company is huge and is micromanaged at every level (national, divisional, regional, and community). There is absurd redundancy in decision-making, and a horribly defined chain of command. Many times the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing within a community. Bait-and-switch tactics also used in the hiring process - bringing in to interview for one position, hiring into a lower-salaried position; promising benefits and bonus incentives, failing to deliver on them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Every community is different. Stop treating them like every one could be run the same way. Stop buying new companies until you can manage the ones you have.

    Disapproves of CEO
