    Pros

    -Rewarding
-Opportunity to work with other passionate people
-Low pay helps control frivolous spending at home on activities

    Cons

    - Pay is very poor
    - Regional opportunities are generally hired out externally creating a vast seperation of realities between the company and the communities.
    -Important information is rarely communicated.
-Company restricts saved emails but is constantly sending out poorly formatted "motivational" emails full of cheesy fonts and clip art that are difficult to read and a waste of time.
    - Training is non existent
    - Recognition is only given for numbers, zero focus on care and quality of service
    - Budgets are constantly cut and immoral given what the residents pay and deserve.
-no pay, no bonus, your job satisfaction depends entirely on your team.
    - You are often treated like a child, this leads me to believe other communities are full of idiots and this is the only way they know how to manage.
-Corporate is extremely disrespectful and disconnected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your employees and residents, times are competitive but being so bottom line driven will just lead to poor service, poor employees, and future failure. Senior living should be quality focused. Pay fairly, hire quality people, and hold them accountable. Treat your employees with respect.

I have been working at Emeritus Senior Living

    Pros

The people are nice but slightly clueless right now.

    Cons

Always shorthanded and always being asked to cover a shift but they are always trying to cut hours because of census. No one is responsible for anything. Not enough training for residents who should be in a skilled long term facility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Organization is a good key and so are more employees, enough at least to cover the floor.
