Pros

Very supportinve environment. I greatly enjoyed my time at Emory University. Benefits are fantastic and it is great to support such a great organization

Cons

Pay is extremely low in Human Resources. Officer level Management is not always supportive of new initiatives or going the extra mile.

Advice to Management

Make sure you have the right management team in place. Work on developmental opportunities for staff to grow/be promoted. Keep up the good work!.

    Pros

    Faculty and staff assistance resourcs, emory mentor program, toastmasters, other professional development events, seminars, programs.

    Cons

    Political BS, favoritism, poor leadership/management from local manager, lack of communications within department, job security attitudes, no leadership, vision, or directions from management, lack of properly manager and professionalism from manager.

    Advice to Management

    All managers in the department should be required to attend and pass a management class to qualify for their position/job.

    Senior Management is not ethnically or gender diverse - AT ALL Career Advancement not available outside of Tenure track Professional Development discouraged High turnover in middle management within university and healthcare

    Advice to Management

    Unfortunately, corporate culture places more emphasis on "the important (clinical0 work of the doctors" placing all contribution at a decreased value to the organization. Organizational leadership places little value on human capital which explains why all management holds similar disregard.
