I have been working at Emporia State University part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Position pays for the school and offers a small salary on top. Easy to get into the MBA program and there is an ERP (enterprise resource planning) concentration.

Cons

Some teachers are very nit-picky and assign work that isn't all that useful for a professional career. There are lots of foreign exchange students in the MBA program and language barriers cause problems in communication.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time working with employers to make students more valuable in the job market. Help get students jobs!

I have been working at Emporia State University

    Pros

ESU is very family and community orientated. If you need assistance across the campus, you will usually find others very willing to provide help.

    Cons

It is difficult to get hired from outside the university. You have to know someone here to have the opportunity to become employed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The incentive to achieve more and for self improvement is not provided. Financial benefits need to be increased.
