I have been working at Encompass Home Health part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Flexible hours, patient/family and nurse mutually agree to work with one another, ability to pick up extra shifts if desired.

Cons

Sometimes there is a lack of communication between the company and the client in regard to the nurse's schedule.

Not a best place to work. High staff turnover and inconsistent patient care. I was RN/CM there.

I worked at Encompass Home Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company sends you on nice orientation that has nothing to do with the "real job" day to day work. Patients were the best thing about the company.

    Cons

Pay low and not equivalent to hours worked. Radius large and drive time consuming majority of time. Office allows no independence in scheduling and no flexibility. Charting system time consuming and expectation to chart in home with the patient is unrealistic. Expect to take home your work and spend an hour every evening just to call patients for the next day just to have the scheduler call and change your route. Overtime not paid, only focus on points despite time spent working. Company has high nurse turnover and therapist. Morale low and complaining typical. Salary does not pay well for the amount of time and hours put in. Company expects you to answer your phone all day while driving or in patient homes and neglects safety driving and patient confidentiality. Unrealistic expectations from management. More concerned with numbers than patient care and employees not taking seriously with complaints and suggestions. I would not recommended this company to anyone.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees complaints and take ACTION to make changes to help retain field staff.

    Pros

nice office space, receptionist/scheduler was nice but a lame duck.

    Cons

Unprofessional, office staff has a bad, lazy attitude, doesn't return calls, low pay.

    Advice to Management

You can have a lot of patients but without nurses you will shut down.
