I have been working at Energetics

Pros

Decent work environment and good variety of work. Management seems to care a lot about the employees and when employees speak up it is not too hard to be heard. Policies toward overtime and vacation are very good. This is not a grinding place to work and that fact is a major plus for this company. The office environment is quiet but not cold. People are generally very friendly and the management goes out of its way to get to know every employee. In terms of work variety and challenge I think it really depends on the group you are in. If you get a good manager there is potential to learn a lot and take on increasingly important roles.

Cons

The company does federal work very well however if you're looking for cutting edge work it isn't really here. Opportunities for growth are limited - if you stay at the company long enough you'll likely make program manager (or VP) but the opportunities for real financial success or gains aren't really here. As I described in the headline, this is a comfortable place to work, not a lot of pressure but not a ton of room to really move up.

I worked at Energetics full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Mostly very good people to work with. Made some good friends in my time working here. Also learned a lot about the federal government and energy projects.

    Cons

I didn't feel like there was much promotion potential, and the work was pretty repetitive. Not very challenging.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide tissues for free. Be more lax about office hours.
