I have been working at Engility

    Pros

When Engility first opened it was a great place to work; lots of opportunity, great people to work with, etc. We didn't have much support from our parent company L-3 Communications but we made things happen anyway.

    Cons

Engility was taken over by some less than nice L-3 Communications Management people, so what was a great place to work now has the negative political environment that L-3 has. Maybe it's not that way in all L-3 organizations, but it is in Billerica, MA.

I have been working at Engility full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Once you are in this company, management does what they can to keep you. Overseas contracting can be a brutal experience but with good management, folks are able to gain job placement somewhere else in the company when cuts come from a contract.

    Cons

For the most part, they are not a Prime Contractor. As a sub-contractor, the pay is lower than what individuals make as the Prime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do more business development and gain government contracts as a Prime.
