Pros

Flexible schedule, great training, excellent facilities

Cons

Very cliquey. If you are new don't expect to be treated equally. Management helpful but usually too busy to really help. CRM system is horrible.

    Pros

The work varies so you can be doing lots of different things than you were expecting out of that day. The work is also more enjoyable than others because it's fun and not typical of what you might find in a different office type atmosphere.

    Cons

The pay is hard to mediate and can fluctuate. It seems hard to move up to something that pays well. To be fair the industry doesn't seem to pay much as a whole unless you are in the executive management level. There are a lot of layoffs too so it gets hard to completely focus on knowing there is another round of them coming and that how hard you work or how good you are doesn't factor in to that decision whatsoever and that it's just because of the company wanting to lower their bottom line.

  2. Good practical experience for the resume

    Pros

Extremely friendly people to work with that are willing to help you learn the ropes whenever there is actually something to do. Eye opening experience that helps you realize that radio isn't just the voice behind the mic. Very flexible with hours.

    Cons

Unpaid internship but we all know that going into the job. There were days were the interns would literally sit in the same spot for hours at a time with nothing to do. There were simply way too many for the amount of work that needed to be done. Never had a chance to apply anything I've learned in the classroom or a chance to gain any practical experience other than doing "intern jobs" which mainly consisted of being a cleaning and organizing person.

    Advice to Management

Take the amount of interns you hire, cut that in half, then do it again and that still may be too many. Have a set list of tasks that need to be completed by interns other than organizing a rack of cd's or reorganizing a room that has been reorganized every day of the week.
