Pros

Friendly employees for the most part Being a radio station; the perks are hard to beat Management is top knotch

Cons

Paperwork and red tape can be long and tedious Hours Advancement is almost nonexistent Amount of work pawned off to Associates

Advice to Management

The paperwork required by AE's is ridiculous. In addition, AE's do not need to be in the office at all times to be considered successful.

    Pros

Lots of communication between management and staff Fun place to work Management does everything it can to make you successful

    Cons

Economy makes it hard to be successful - not really an Entercom problem Medical Benefits are not known in Denver area. Hard to find doctors that take the plan

    Advice to Management

Find a local medical insurance company. The coresource used makes it difficult to find a doctor who will provide care

  2. The Radio Industry is a tough place to be employed - Entercom Portland rises above all others in this category.

Former Employee - Promotions Manager in Portland, OR
Former Employee - Promotions Manager in Portland, OR
    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Entercom Portland has a great management leadership that is focused on innovation within the radio industry. The Senior Management staff has an "open door" policy - which most companies claim to have - but they actually mean it. Most radio companies are behind the times - Entercom Portland (specifically) strives to keep up with the ever changing world (digitally and beyond).

    Cons

As much as they strive to be innovative - management outside of Entercom Portland itself stifles the effort.

    Advice to Management

Take risks on creativity so radio doesn't die - keep being innovative.
