I have been working at Enterprise Holdings full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

All in all i'm satisfied with my career here. I can say in the long run you get what you put into it. Having worked for 2 different divisions the culture stays relatively the same but some business lines have a younger hungrier mentality (Car Sales, Fleet management, Truck rental) then others. It's a conservative company almost to a fault.

    Cons

Being a company with that hires college grads every year the bulk of the work force can be immature. There are moments when this is entertaining for someone who's been here 5+ years but there are other times it's frustrating to rely on those types to help my business. Base salaries

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advertise other business lines. A referral based model is great but some TV spots can't hurt.

I worked at Enterprise Holdings full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The people you work with are extremely energetic, fun, and want to grow professionally.
The pay and benefits were significantly better the more you moved up and loyalty you showed.
The training and development opportunities were exceptional and you could go as far as you wanted.

    Cons

After you reach area manager it is almost impossible to stay in the same city for a promotion unless you are in a major market like LA or NY.
The hours worked are very long. Things have been put in place to fix it for trainees but as you reach further in to the management levels your hours increase to pick up the slack that has occurred because the trainees work less hours. Somewhere along the line the work has to get done.
