Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be great if MTs could get involved in other parts of the business early on instead of always being stuck in the daily routine. There's a feeling of being in a maze with no exits and a feeling of being just another number in the company.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

work hard and you can move up fast. Manage your own business, keeps you busy, manage employees, learn to sale, customer service, meet goals, answer phones, collect payments, and do reports.

    Cons

daily grind, over worked, micro-managed, expect you to work hours before you open and stay way past close to get ahead. They want young fresh out of college students so they can mold them and get every ounce of energy out of them. Also that way they can move around to get promoted unlike people who get married and have families. That does not fit their norm. Washing cars in your suits, having to find cars for customers who you over booked reservations for because you are told never say no even though there are no cars to be found and if you did find the car its probably 1 hour away and takes at least 2 hours to get it. Hours are way too long and really don't get lunches and

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't force people to move when they are happy where they are. Make sure if you discipline one person for one thing its probably going to be the whole company who you have to write up. I was let go for a policy I was not informed of. Hours are long and need better work life balance. They also need to sale out on the internet when there is a shortage of cars to keep customers from being upset. Don't discriminate on those who have been in the same position for a while.

    Pros

*Most* Weekends off. They offer management growth. If you can make it through the training program you can make it through anything.

    Cons

Cut-throat business. Ungenuine people breeding ungenuine employees. Greedy. You're only as important as your extra income generated from sales. You do not recieve any compensation for these sales.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit and get your soul back from the devil.
