I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Good job and training if you are coming out of college.

Cons

Not a job for someone who has been around the block or with professional experience. Forget about life work balance. It's a revolving door. You must watch your back at all times. Management at all levels are clueless.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention what your peers are saying. Company should not punish middle management - Store Assistant Manager, Store Branch Manager - if one particular branch is not performing when certain situations are really out of your hands.

    Pros

You'll get experience in sales, if that's what you want to do. Other employers, better employers than ERAC will be interested in hiring you away for sales jobs. So if you want to do sales, ERAC is a good launchpad.

    Cons

If you want to do anything besides sales, this is a terrible company. Additionally, ERAC pays their assistant managers like crap, the health/dental benefits are decent, but the pay is terrible. They also make you wash cars, even in management, on a regular basis--while wearing a suit and tie. The work/life balance is a joke. 60 hours a week to work renting cars to rude customers who are in a terrible mood because they're renting a car due to a car accident is not fun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees more. They work hard for you.

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Work with young people, experience at a reputable company, concrete promotion path, training, ability to move up quickly, good medical benefits

    Cons

Extremely long hours, poor pay, no paid sick time so you use anytime off for doctors appts or sick days. If you are not on the very top of the sales matrix it is tough to move up, no matter how hard you work.
