I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Greatest entrepreneur training available with 0 financial risk.
Amazing sales training program.
Meet other go-getter sales people and get paid to network your face off with local business owners.
Take some pretty fun training trips on the company dime.

Cons

Hours are horrible - be prepared to work M - F 7am to 7pm with an hour lunch (maybe) and every other Saturday/Sunday depending on your branch.
When you fast track to management, you will earn a small base increase and a % of profits - no profits = no extra pay.
Your manager will have 0 sympathy for your long hours, they did more than you and that's why they are a manager and you aren't yet.
A gig in the M - F corporate office is a tough one to secure, it comes with less hours and no bonus for profit, but there you will find some relief from the stress of the branch environment.
Don't even bother with this job unless you are 22 and single or want to be single because your spouse found someone who was home and making a decent wage.
You will see your family a few hours on the weekend and kiss their sleeping faces by the time you finish eating the leftover dinner and clean up.
Forget going to the gym- washing cars is your new workout.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop pretending like this is a job for everyone. This is a job for young single people. As you grow into upper management your reward is to work less hours in an office, but you are just pushing people to work as hard you did, rather than finding a better way. No one is against hard work, but if you want to grow as a company, eventually you need people in management who are over the average age of 25. The Taylor family are AMAZING. The leadership you have developer needs to look at his to make it better, not just more economically efficient.

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The training program you receive during the first year working with the company is amazing. I've learned more combined, I feel than 4 years of college at times. Everyone is always there to help you succeed and do well. You also are able to move to different branches every few months so you learn how to run a business with different managers and relate to the area depending on the clientel.

    Cons

The hours are very long and do consume you daily activities. We are allowee flex time once a week, but regardless a 7am to 630 pm day give or take is long. Starting salary isn't the best either, but you do well in your tests and maintain high sales numbers and you will do well in terms of being promoted. Also, sometimes customers are plain out and simple: RUDE. You have to know how to handle them
