Pros

Great company to start your career with. Teaches you sales, marketing, operations, employee development, and customer service. Was with them for almost 7 years. As long as you perform moving up is fairly easy. The people that you meet and work with is what makes the company. After your tour of duty with ERAC you have the skill set to do whatever you want and you will have a solid network of like minded individuals for life. Pay is really good if you hit your targets. My first year being a Branch Manager I hit $45k and $90k in my last year. This job ONLY works if you are willing to put your career first before anything.

Cons

Work life balance is non existant. As a manager you are "suppose" to work 5 days a week but ends up to be more like 6-7 days. You get little help from upper management when you need help such as more cars to meet demand. Staffing can be a challenging so you end up working more days and after work to make up for it...but god forbid no OT!

Advice to Management

Hire Canadian upper management for Canadian stores rather than bringing over US "talent"...listen to your employees when they need help.

    Pros

People are friendly and eager to please customers

    Cons

long hours (48+ hours a week with no overtime pay), next to minimum wage pay ($13.85/hr), very high expectation with little reward. There is no work/family balance with this company and you will become exhausted from the grunt work you will do in the year of training

    Advice to Management

Be upfront and honest with prospective employees when interviewing. Very easy to get their hopes up when you tell them entry level position for $36,000/year and extra hours are involved.
