In the begining it was a great place to be working with schools.

    Pros

In the beginning the schools loved the products and I loved working with the schools and I really believed in the product and the concept. Working from home allowed a great work/life balance and the compensation was adequate.

    Cons

I was there for 10 years and was in the first round of layoffs in 2011. More layoffs followed and it was evident that the company was failing due to incompetent and uncaring management and the poor decisions made by the parent company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No more need for advice because in March of 2013 they filed Chapter #7 bankruptcy and closed. The Detroit TV news report stated that all 667 employees were let go with one day's pay and no severance.

    Pros

There really wasn't anything good about my experience at Entertainment

    Cons

The employees worked their little hearts out but management never had the vision required to move entertainment from paper to electronic. They had the 'leg up' in a BIG way for promos and were poised perfectly to enter digital but even as their employees tried to take the product digital, management killed it and laid off the staff... really? So now they're sinking, anchored to a product that no longer has a place in the market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

cut your losses and run. pay your employees severance so they can restart their lives.
