Epic Employee Review
Epic – “Great place to work with great long-term prospects”
4 of 9 people found this helpfulPros
The people you work with are all great. And the culture is wonderful. The new campus is amazing, and they are working towards everyone having their own office. Work hours are flexible. There are no job titles, but each person can steer his or her career path to some degree. Pay is good.
Cons
There is some pressure to work long hours. Some HR functions are not transparent and mysterious. However, most of the griping comes from people without other job experience who don't know how nice things are at Epic. There is not much near the campus in Verona, but hopefully that will change as things develop.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management does a great job and goes out of their way to share information and be fair to all.

The only people that are regularly averaging more than 50 hours/week are the project managers. If you aren't interested in working those type of hours, don't be a project manager.
I agree that there are some good team leads, and some bad ones. I've been fortunate to not have any of the bad ones. I still think the no job titles is a good thing. I've been able to steer my career the way that I've wanted to. I've turned down some opportunities for "promotion" because I didn't feel they were a good fit. I accepted others.
As far as salary, Epic is paying me generously. When you do the work and achieve success, it will be noticed.
I also agree that Epic is not for everyone. If you are an Epic employee and not happy, feel free to look elsewhere. There are plenty of others out there that will prosper at Epic.
