I have been working at Epsilon full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Usually do not have to work holidays unless there is a problem or if on-call.
People are mostly friendly but everyone seems to operate under a lot of unnecessary stress conflict and tension.
Nice gym but no time to use it. Good cafes nearby.
Some good people but always seem to lose the really good ones.

Cons

They keep losing the very best employees and leaders. Then the remaining people get promoted and move up. Some have built their careers this way but no one makes a big deal about losing all of these talented people. One of our big hospitality accounts has lost about 50 people in only 3 years time.
People often blame each other & throw under the bus very publicly in emails and meetings. Seems part of the culture.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Address leadership including those who have been responsible for so much turnover and dissatisfaction on major accounts. Kennedy seems like a nice guy but change is needed.

I have been working at Epsilon full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Epsilon is a market leader that is very well positioned for the future of data driven advertising and has a very strong technology background. It has been a great place to work but things have started to change over the past 2 years as new C level execs and their subordinates change the company outlook.

    Cons

The company works its people to death to deliver very strong numbers and cuts compensation to the employees that support it. The CIO is making a directed effort to push out quality employees and limit capabilities of its teams as a means of placing blame and scapegoating problems that have arisen from his poor planning and strategy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees and don't cut benefits while reporting record profits, pay attention to failures and what the contributing factors are.

    I worked at Epsilon full-time

    Pros

A fast paced place to get some agency experience and work with some smart, dynamic minds. It's a very successful company that looks great on a resume, and gives you potential access to big clients and big data.

    Cons

Low pay scale and not a lot of process. There is a huge pressure from the clients, which if not mitigated by the account team, can easily ripple back through the layers of the company and cause buckling among the ranks. Some account teams seem better equipped to handle this than others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Support your peeps. It's easy to stand aside, but your team will love you more if they feel you have their backs.
