Current Employee - Database Administrator in Irving, TX
Current Employee - Database Administrator in Irving, TX

I have been working at Epsilon full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Usually have Sundays off
Location is not bad if you live in Irving
If you have lost your job, been fired or laid off, this is better than having no job at all

Cons

VP level management takes credit for the work of their employees and blames their underlings for all of the VP level screw ups.
No real leadership at the VP level. Some VPs don't even have any prior management or leadership experience.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of senior managers from VP level and hire some intelligent talented people who can motivate others and get things done without pitting people against each other.

Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

Not a very good experience working there. They give away VP titles like free lunches.

It all depends on who you work for

    I worked at Epsilon

    Pros

Like I said in the title, it REALLY depends on who you work for at this company. The tended to stay cutting edge with technology, sometimes they were flexible.

    Cons

Inconsistent treatment, there are some bad apples in there, but some really good ones too. They can work you to death sometimes...with little reward or appreciation, unfortunately.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the bad apples, try at least to appreciate the need for work life balance more.
