Equifax provides employees with a solid recognition of life-work balance. They provide reasonable compensation and very solid benefits to employees.

Cons

This organization remains surprisingly autocratic, despite repeated messaging regarding attempts to make management and decisionmaking processes more transparent. "Voice of the Employee" and "360 Feedback" are concepts which remain in their infancy stages within this organization.

Advice to Senior Management

Rick Smith is leading Equifax well regarding market positioning, strategic alignment and message. There has been some struggle with realizing benefits in a timely manner from a number of acquisitions over the last decade which needs acceleration. If there's anything for EFX really to concentrate on it's the HOW. Self recognition of how autocratic the organization remains is a good start. How employees are communicated with regarding business environment changes, their personal and business unit performance - these are great areas to improve on to leverage the best possible performance from the talent pool.
