I have been working at Equilar full-time

    Pros

People who go to glassdoor are wondering about our company. The average rating and pay will immediately turn away people with better job offers. ...So, these reviews are for applicants who are still contemplating Equilar after all the negativity here.

Let's provide some constructive reviews instead of self-serving catharsis, okay?

    Pros:
    - Can get promoted to a good sounding title pretty fast
    - You can leave after 8 hours*
    - You can execute your ideas faster than in a large company
    - A majority of company is young
    - Small company: it's easy to interact with every individual and learn from (and work with) all the different types .**

*To rebut future comments which I know will occur: you won't get chewed out if you're actually pulling your own slack.
**Very much the opposite of glassdoor, where you'll find like-minded people that are all mouthing the same thing. Not much to gain here after reading the latest 1-star review, right?

    Cons

    - Low pay
    - Monotony of grunt work
    - Small voice
    - Inexperienced middle management
    - Habitual loss in talent
    - Get promoted based on tenure, not talent

    Advice to You:

Think about how to advance your career,
If you decide to work for Equilar, I know your experience will be short. But it is what you make of it. It's not going to get any better, unless you do something about it. Monotonous work? Learn new skills that will help get through the day and that you can market in the future. Ideas for improvements? Work out your ideas and pitch them to the right people. It's a small company, and you can get things moving fast. Wouldn't that make a great story for future interviews?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Fire lazy people.
If someone is only doing their minimum job responsibilities at a sub-par levels, *fire them*.
Isn't that what the monitoring is for?

I have been working at Equilar full-time

    Pros

potential in the product they sell
some of the staff members were a delight to meet

    Cons

you will be interviewed by staff that shouldn't be conducting interviews
for some your destiny lies with the several interviewers who shouldn't be interviewing
you are asked legitimate difficult questions, but by people who shouldn't be conducting interviews

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

YOU GUYS are not that great! Take your asses off the pedestal. Smart people can see right through you, especially directed towards one individual in Business Development and Sales Operations. You have no idea how stupid you looked while you interviewed me.
