Ericsson-Worldwide – “Don't work for Ericsson!”
Pros
Pay is good and I enjoy the people I work with (except management)
Cons
Managment motivates people by using threats of firing for misstakes. They fire some of their best talent for simple misstakes. They threatened to fire employees in their Front Office for using the name Alltel instead of Verizon in email correspondence once Alltel and Verizon merged. This is while former Alltel employees were still using Alltel in their correspondence.
Advice to Senior Management
Motivtate people using incentives instead of threats. Help people to come up with solutions instead of holding their job over their heads. A solution keeps the problem from happening agian. Firing someone just creates the need to replace an experienced employee with someone inexperienced in Ericsson solutions. This will hurt customer service.
