Pros

Word wide company. You can pretty much work from any country.
Cutting edge technology to work with.
Interesting technology

Cons

You are treated like a resource, not really a human resource.
Lack of leadership from upper management.
You are basically in your own, there is no guidance in terms of career growth - caree path.
ITM is for perfromance evaluation but honestly to me is a waste of time. You will never reach your goals.
Lots of Indian Managers whom of course promote indian engineers kind of like a brotherhood.

    Pros

    Best benefits in the world!
    Work-life balance is great, depending on which department you're working.
    Internal training is excellent, much of it is "free" to your department.

    Cons

    Career opportunities are posted (like every company), but there is no progression path other than just adding a II, III, or IV after your title. Seeking advanced positions is very difficult because the corporate requirements on training, experience, and required evaluations are very strict even though the company will hire externally for advanced positions without all the internal requirements.

    Salary ranges for departments/jobs are hidden, so you cannot tell if a posted job is a promotional opportunity or not.

    Your current manager must allow you to interview before you can apply for any internal job posting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Though management professes "Ericsson Business Process," the account teams don't follow it. Encourage them to get with the process and margins will increase.

    Pros

    Great innovator of products in wireless telephony space. Flexible atmosphere and work culture.

    Cons

    Poor operations and management policies shunting career growth. No proper operations strategy. Cyclical layoff periods throughout the year. No proper employee recognition.

    Recognize talent and grow the company to bring fresh ideas.
