From outside the gates it looks like a castle, from inside, a shanty

ProsCasual dress, some very smart people, benefits are OK, nice campus, pay was OK, location OK. It's really hard to think of anything else nice.

ConsMiddle management is a joke. They were all promoted from within the good ol' boys club. HR is your worst enemy. Everything you do well will eventually be taken away from you. The company is completely out of touch with business practices in todays world. Esri may not know it, but their ankle is attached to the great big MS anchor that is going down.

Most employees are very dissatisfied with their jobs and life at work. So many people just "show up" every day looking for a way to get out.

Unless you really can't get a job anywhere else, I guess it would be a place to work. Especially if you are right out of school. Even then, plan on a 5 year tour of duty before moving on.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet people get their jobs done and appoint someone to manage that knows what they are doing and not just walking the halls with a whip.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
