I have been working at Esri full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

small town
very stable
very little risk of downsizing
great benefits --- essentially free healthcare!
401k contributions
hourly pay with bank for overtime
after 5 years of hard work and initiative you can start career advancement

Cons

not much vacation
low pay for industry giant
takes a lot of time to make career progress
some coworkers are unmotivated
old timers are making so much money because of yearly raises and often contribute much less
really hot climate in the summer

Advice to ManagementAdvice

reward people who do a great job
cut the chaff to increase the financial benefit for those who excel

    I worked at Esri full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The employees in my department were very courteous.

    Cons

    I had 4 supervisors. They did not communicate so I kept answering the same question. I was supposed to have one supervisor and one manager.

    Make sure everyone is on the same page.

    Less pressure,
    Family friendly,
    Insurance benefits,
    Comfortable office environment,
    Eco-friendly office with lot of trees and fish ponds

    Cons

    No significant pay rise,
    Sometimes boring work, very hard to push new innovations,
    No team based tasks and enthusiasm,
    Remote location,
    No nearby food places other than in-office cafe which is not open at all times

    Increase pay in par with industry standards
