I worked at Esri as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Hourly wages. Work load is less. Smart people don't work here, so you can get away with a lot of things

    Cons

Esri hires random folks who don't have the right background which means they are adding a lot of bloat to the products and making things hard for the right folks. The top management do not keep a tab on products being worked on from satellite offices resulting in teams being driven by intuition as opposed to facts.

Doing things the right way is often dismissed by saying 'Esri is not the company which does this or that this way'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please hire the right folks. Make product and customer usage data available throughout the company for teams to make informed decisions. CEO needs to be more focused and competitive. Let's do few things in a great fashion than doing many great things,
