Run as fast as you can!!!!

Claims Adjuster (Current Employee) Atlanta, GA

ProsThe office location and friendly co-workers.

Cons- Lack of work -life balance, Esurance has no concept of this and most employees put in unpaid overtime.
- Masks itself as a standard insurance company but the largest market share is non-standard customers.
- Adjusters will be assigned 10 claims a day with excessive metrics that are not based on customer service.
- Pay is below average
- There is zero respect from Senior management or office managers
- Benefits are mediocre and are even worse for 2010
- Career potential is non existent, most of the new hires are through nepotism or former co-workers of management.
- Esurance is obsessed with JD Powers survey but has yet to figure out why they are stuck at the bottom, but they forget when the claims adjuster have no incentive to give good customer service then the customer in return will give poor customer service surveys.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat all employees the same way you treat yourselves at the San Francisco headquarters. For a company to succeed the bottom feeders have to eel appreciated. Focus on customer service and not excessive metrics.
