I have been working at Eurasia Group

Pros

Wonderfully smart co-workers, people love what they do. If you are an analyst there is ample opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of your country/region. Dynamic environment.

Cons

Company is going through "growing-pains" and is not run by people who are good at managing people. Decisions are made with little transparency. Lack of leadership among many different practices-- essentially if you're not working for the energy practice or the latin america practice, you don't have a boss who is there to lobby on your behalf.

There are no women in upper management levels. Minimal opportunities for professional development. Because of flatness and small size of organization, limited opportunities to advance within the company.

Generally perceived among employees that management makes financial and investment decisions for their own personal financial interests, not for the development of the company as a whole.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote a woman to a leadership position.

Offer more opportunities for professional development. The recent advances on things like flex-time and working out of other offices was a good step forward.
