I have been working at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Coworkers are amazing. That's it.

    Cons

Where to start? Extremely low compensation. The benefits, in my opinion, only are a plus for families and mothers. Management is basically non-existent. What I mean by that is, the people who are above Group Leaders do a fine job, but they put completely incompetent people in positions of authority. Depending on the department, there may be lots of work or you may be spending 8 hours brushing up on solitaire skills. Only 20% of a department (2 people per group) can be off on any given day, making scheduling vacation/PTO an absolute nightmare. No sick days. No real room for advancing in the company, and you never get rewarded for hard work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. We are the "little people" that are at the core of the profits that it seems like only higher management sees. Put people who are good communicators and are efficient in positions of authority. Don't treat and view employees as work horses.

I have been working at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Hires college grads with no experience; Great co-workers; Flexible hours; Benefits are decent; High differential rate for second shift employees

    Cons

Not much room for growth or development; Employees work here for about 2 years, gain experience, then go to a company where they will make more money for doing the same job; Supervisors and management do not promote participation of analysts in group meetings nor do they readily or willingly take into account analyst ideas or suggestions; Some supervisors are not knowledgeable in the areas they are supervising

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Utilize the employee incentive program; Encourage your workers when they do well and be understanding and helpful when a mistake is made; Train your employees correctly the first time and less errors will be made

    No opinion of CEO
