Pros

Free-lance consulting rates are fair and case managers are very supportive. I was paid to attend conferences when I should the initiative. Great opportunity to develop relationships with CEOs, Brand Managers and Industry Heads. Work is interesting and teaches you to work independently. Training is provided and improved on from time to time but could be more detailed. For qualified undergrads or grads this is a great in-between position while you are hunting for jobs.

Cons

The onus to complete a project is completely yours with only occasional contact with case manager. Potential to progress upwards is very limited to none since they do offer permanent positions in only a handful of countries and not necessarily to independent consultants with a proven track record. Work product is iffy and not verified with appropriate standards. I have known consultants who have essentially cooked up numbers and pushed them through with nonsensical reasons. Main issue is lack of direction and emphasis on rigorous research standards.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop In-Country Analysts and export their talent since they are well-versed in your product. Follow more rigorous research standards to maintain current reputation and enhance it.

    Pros

Relatively laid back work environment. work/life balance. Good for entry level only

    Cons

Extremely political structure, with internal struggles between teams for no reasons. A scandalous split of business across sales people.
Favoritism and double standards: few sales people make up 90% of the business, leaving the other ones starving. Very poor and extremely conservative management. No marketing to support the Sales.
High turnover: most of the people leave after 6 month, once they discover the joke. Low salaries and non existing benefits: company is only hiring low qualified people now because of its lack of attractiveness toward good profiles. Chairman passes by and NEVER SAYS GOOD MORNING-shame

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company needs to acquired by a bigger, more serious consultancy, and start over with fresh management and ideas. The dinosaurs in London are old school now
