I worked at Evernote as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

- Coworkers are brilliant, passionate about their work, and incredibly talented
- Great perks and benefits (the daily catered lunch is always delicious)
- Open office encourages lots of collaboration
- CEO takes great care to maintain an outstanding culture

Cons

As with most startups, they'll expect you work hard in order to get things done on time, so work-weeks sometimes go over the normal 40 hours.

I have been working at Evernote full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

-Everyone is at the top of their game and there is very little dead weight.

-Teams try to stay small and hire super productive people rather than building large teams to handle increased workloads.

-The CEO is actively focused on maintaining company culture and is dedicated to perserving the startup feel to the company.

-Upper management will listen to you and doesn't look down on anyone just because of rank. Interns get the same treatment as senior employees when it comes to senior management.

-Tons of snacks, Lunch is provided every day, and IT will get you anything you need if you ask them.

    Cons

Not so much of a con as much as a heads up, there is no straight forward path into the deep end. The company doesn't ween you into your duties. There is very little training involved and you're generally chucked into the deep end and expected to get as for help as you need it. To counter this, they don't really have the expectation that you're going to be swimming from day one, but they at least expect you to keep your head above the water. So don't expect a lot of hand holding if you come here.
