Excellent place to begin as a fresher...but the last place on earth where you would like to continue your career...

I worked at ExcelaCom Technologies


1. Excellent exposure to latest technologies.
2. Opportunities that no company bestows on freshers - (Please Note - its work wise)
3. Exposure to all phases of SDLC
4. Office facilities which are of a class standard for a company of this level.
5. Air conditioned buses


1. No work life balance.You forget what is life.
2. Excessive pressure and unrealistic deadlines
3. Product requirements that seem to evolve and change forever.
4. Products that seem to have been under development for ages but not getting sold.
5. Poor method of appraisal - almost always intending on retaining a few employees who seem to have displayed their loyalty to the company. If you are lucky enough to be in the right project, you get a good appraisal. If not, you are screwed for a life time.
6. Management which almost never understands what the employees want.
7. Constant change of teams. You almost forget whether you are a developer/tester/biz analyst/designer.
8. Drastic timings. You almost lose 12-14 hours of a day only in office out of which 2-4 hours might be travel to the office premises.
9. No proper planning of projects. Offshore blindly accepts any unrealistic deadline put forth by onshore. At times it will make you wonder whether the so called managers in the organisation have learnt negotiation skills or not. And the teams take the brunt of it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

1. Exercise basic common sense when the projects are being planned. Slavery is banned in India. You have employees who are talented in multiple technologies. Use them wisely. Do not make them hate the work or organisation
2. People sitting in the glass rooms and nodding their heads to everything the onshore says, should think at times why they are sitting there. Just to pass on what the onshore demands, or negotiate with them something that will not crack the nerves of offshore employees.
3. Stop allowing people who deal with other segments of the organisation from intruding into employees work/personal life. Its an IT organisation...not a jail.
4. Appreciate employee for every hard work they put in. Its not the rising star or some funny awards that matter. A few words of appreciation put in a mail can definitely boost the morale of the employees(it costs the company nothing!)
5. Understand that people who seem to "know-it-all" need not necessarily be "know-it-alls"
6. Finally the most important thing which every company follows...treat employees as your primary assets. Treat them well. Do not treat them in such a way that every single one of them only waits for their bond to expire and then run away with their life...taking with them all the wealth of knowledge that they aquired while in the organisation.
7. Please stop rearchitecuring the Century Suite esp Customer Manager.

    I have been working at ExcelaCom Technologies full-time for more than 5 years


    U can easily shine in this company, if u know how to put SOAP to higher management. That to especially to one person, who thinks he is a Super Hero of the company.


    The whole company runs as per the direction of one guy...
    He is doing a HITLER rule, where all the Managers shut their ___ and tortures the employees like anything.
    He is thinking that he is gonna make the company no 1, but the results has clearly shown how he is degrading the company which his arrogant and idiotic mind.
    RESULTS: when I joined the company 6 years back the organisation strength is 250. Now also its same.

    He has a power to fire any person from Manager to toilet cleaner. He is using this as a weapon and recruiting managers who are coward and shut.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The Parent company - ALLFON(US) and EXCELACOM INC please recruit a proper HR and Delivery Heads who are courageous enough to speak against all the dramas happening here..
