Current Employee - Senior Director Market Management in London, England (UK)

Pros

Never boring, Open to new ideas and encourage creativity. The People who work here (as corny as it sounds) are a huge benefit. People are driven and passionate.

Cons

Too Fast paced sometimes. Decisions made without all needed information. Leadership can be out of touch with what is happening on the ground. Too many conflicting priorities all at the same time.

Good company but compensation is lacking

    Current Employee - Software Engineer
    Current Employee - Software Engineer

    Pros

    - Marquee name in travel
    - Relatively interesting work
    - Decent work life balance

    Cons

Company is not competitive in terms of compensation. Most other technology companies which have a desire to stay competitive will offer some level of espp+rsu+bonus. There is a basic bonus plan in place but that is it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expedia has the makings of a great place to work but without competitive compensation what is the motivation when you can make 20%+ across the street? Get with the times and pay accordingly.

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Over all the job is not too stressful and everyone there is pretty laid back and easy going. Supervisors are nice and not hard to get along with.

    Cons

There doesn't seem to be very much opportunity to grow or advance since there isn't a lot of different knds of work going on. Mostly call center jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at ways to offer growth opportunities and possibly ask people to look a little more professional at work.
