Pros

Good product, they stand behind what they sell. Service after the sale is great. If there is an issue they will fix it.

Cons

Expedia is expanding call centers all over the world. Insecurity about when the center will close is always looming. Management doesn't seem to want to listen to what the people who are actually doing the work have to say.

Advice to Management

Don't just look at the numbers to try to see how things are going. Listen to what people say who are actually doing the work and take that into account.

    Pros

    Excellent benefits Good pay for workload Plentiful vacation package (starts at 3 weeks) Flexible leave policy for family needs Great communication between management and staff

    Cons

    Big egos and narrow job responsibilities within management Post-recession reorg makes departments that were "low priority" feel low priority

    Advice to Management

    Stand up from your desk, walk around, smile and greet your staff. This company's culture is too "shy" under the guise of technology. I've worked in technology companies that are warm, welcoming, and inviting because they maintain that "start-up" feeling of commeraderie. Get back to the basics, get to know your staff, and you will find they have more talents and skills to offer the company. I also want the company to involve more staff input during the frequent reorganizations that occur so that there is no one left behind. My department invited feedback through email only, which retarded the process to be slower than it needed to be. Staff input from the best and most experienced makes for better division of labor for management.

    Pros

    The travel benefits are great. Generally the people are very nice and smart.

    Cons

    The recruiting organization continues to lack amy real direction and has for years. Their investment in new recruiting technology or marketing is pitiful.

    Advice to Management

    Give your recruiting team the tools they need to find the talent you want.
