Current Employee - Human Resources Coordinator in London, England (UK)

I have been working at Expedia full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Expedia hires smart people - they focus a lot on team fit so this helps with staff retention. Staff are generally self starting so the company has lots of forward momentum. Expedia employees will have very different experiences depending which brand they work in. Culture is markedly different between brands which behave like separate companies. So if applying for a job with Expedia it is advisable to do ones research on the different brands. Benefits are good and staff are generally treated well

Cons

I worked in the London office but found the company too US centric. Decisions and thinking is done in US with insufficient consideration or understanding that things work differently in Europe, APAC etc. Odd for a company that is truly global.
