Current Employee - Solutions Analyst in Sofia (Bulgaria)

Pros

Good place to work and learn. Travel opportunity, great work environment, social package included. Annual leave is 25 days, more than the usual 20 days in other companies. Sometimes work is under pressure but mostly it's calm and does not require staying late.

Cons

Opportunities for growth are not much. Normally growing requires moving to another office in another country. Salaries and bonus schemes are lower compare to similar companies.

    Experian - Losing its way

Current Employee - Sales  in  London, England (UK)
Current Employee - Sales in London, England (UK)

    Pros

Decision Analytics UK have some great products and people
Core credit bureau is hanging on to the primary bureau spot
Consumer services is benefiting from increased consumer interest in their credit file

    Cons

Decision analytics expertise continues to be eroded by lesser talent from North American.
Core credit bureau lacks a strategic vision and is only holding on to primary UK bureau because clients cannot justify the investment to switch suppliers
Marketing services lacks a cohesive strategy and expertise to move beyond basis list cleaning and rental.
Consumer services is not in control of its growth and has no alternative once interest starts to decline.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the things you do well in credit referencing, and invest building and acquiring these around the world to build a global reference point. Stay away from the fashion areas in marketing and accept should just stay as a core data supplier to organisation who know how to play in this space (how much more shareholder investment will you waste before you realise this).
Stop the US management takeover; remember it was the little UK business which grew and bought the mighty US organisation because it understood what being a CRA means. The US business is still third out of three players today, and so are its management.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

It was a lot more employer firendly, still has canteens.

    Cons

Employees are worth less than printers or desks. It really is a shame, but now profit and statistics are the only things of importance. Employees are just eliminated in one country to make way for cheaper hires in another. There is no sense of loyalty. There are no longer mass redundancies as now they get rid of people in trickles here and there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think management know what upsets people but they don't care. So there is no point in saying anything. It's just very sad to see so many people morally destroyed.
