I have been working at Experian

Pros

They promise alot on the recruitment process, big expectation with lot of potential according to the senior management...
Pretend to be a global leader, but no.
Or this is not seen from inside compared to other companies.

Cons

All you hear are rumours. Senior management does not have any Leadership skills, Lack of downlevel communication and awareness of the developments within the company.
There aren't clearly defined internal procedures for most things or if there are - they are not followed and cannot be used in practice.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

cont play with the people bellow because they are your capital. without them you are nothing.
If you don't understand this soon you will loose experienced employees.

I have been working at Experian full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Their were some managers/directors that would recognise what you could bring to the business and would mentor you and support you. Good company to have on your CV. Always got a job elsewhere in the business if you lasted 3+ mths in BI. Often would always lead to your CV being picked out for other sales roles if you have worked here.

    Cons

aggressive environment, bullying due to lots of people felt threatened by new comers due to their own mis-management of roles, lots of promises at interview stage when they want yr skill sets, (when head hunted) but that never transpired.
Management never happy when you are hitting high, hard to achieve targets=, always want more. blocked progression to keep you in a dept that did not want to lose you. Very institutionalised environment and telesales staff treated like children. Open favouritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stand by what you say you will deliver, better management skills and career progression. Don't turn blind eye to bad apples just because they 'seemingly' hit their target on paper, when they have no team skills

I worked at Experian for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. Big name for CV (if that's even worth anything any more)

    otherwise none.

    Cons

    1. Talentless drones
    2. Wages relatively low, bonuses practically non-existent.
    3. Pigeonholed - most people get pidgeonholed in to single-skill or sometimes no-skill boring jobs.
    4. Slow train to nowhere - it's one of those places you spend 20 years trying to get somewhere by which time you're as useless as everyone else but have a manager title because all the good people moved on to better things and you were the last one left.
    5. Lots of red tape, slow to get anything done, takes weeks for trivial things, meetings about meetings
    6. Paper Architects - as bad as in banking they don't actually know how to do anything, literally one received an award for X years of service and it was painful to even watch him use Microsoft Office, extremely limited and narrow IT knowledge of the marketplace and technologies never mind how anything actually works.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more, hire fewer people, make sure each person is better quality.
