This was a chaotic organization during the past year as the Medco/ESI restructuring efforts completely distracted focus.

Pros

The foundation they purchased with Medco should provide a launching pad for success. They have bought the best in class, and should be able to construct a dynasty.

Cons

Lack of direction, leadership and communication at every level was damaging, and could alleviate any full growth potential of this organization.

Advice to Management

Adopt the "transparency" model of service delivery that Medco so aptly embraced. The rank and file staff are needing communication and encouragement.

    Pros

    PTO earnings are good.
Travel opportunities, if you enjoy travel.
Lots of open positions, because everyone is leaving.

    Cons

    This company needs work/life balance.
Non-management employees are overworked and under appreciated.
    The yearly review program/process stinks.
Money is the driver for EVERYTHING with ESI

    Advice to Management

Read and believe the feedback on this site. Contrary to your opinion, there are lots of lessons learned within.
Patients are your customers, treat them as such.
Employees should be respected and treated fair.
Management should lead, make decisions, be accountable and responsible. Everything from business decisions, to process to employee relations needs active/involved management.

    Pros

In today's economy its a job that seems to be secure.

    Cons

Poor management - Management is unapprochable and lacks good communication skills.
Salary- The starting salary is low and raises are insulting. I was a top preformer last year, which meant I qualified for the highest percentage of a raise. What that ended up being was a 17 cent an hour raise. Meanwhile George Paz is one of the highest paid CEO's in the nation.

    Advice to Management

Take some management trainning classes and to upper management give better raises.
